Privacy and terms

The short version

• Your sketch is saved only in your own browser. There are no accounts and no database of users.
• When you upload a CV or ask for AI features, the text is sent to our AI provider, processed, and not stored by us. It is never used to train AI models.
• Analytics cookies load only if you click "Allow". We never send your CV, name or chart to analytics.
• We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who we are

CareerSketch is operated by Ignition Studio Pte Ltd, Singapore ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the processing described here. To contact us about privacy, use the contact form and mention "Privacy" in your message.

What we process and why

Your sketch

Names, headline, photo, milestones, skills, pathways and post text you enter are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. They are not sent to us unless you use an AI feature. Images, carousels and videos you export are made on your device too. Photos you add to a Story video are kept in memory on your device only: they are never uploaded or saved, and they are gone when you close or reload the page. You can delete everything at any time with "Start over" in the app, or by clearing your browser data for this site.

CV upload and AI features

Your file is opened in your browser. Only the extracted text is sent, over an encrypted connection, to our server on Cloudflare, which uses Cloudflare Workers AI to draft your timeline, suggest pathways or write a post. The same applies to the milestones and skills sent when you ask for pathways or a post. We do not save this content, and Cloudflare does not use it to train AI models or make it available to anyone else. We process it to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract) and, where required, with your consent, given when you choose to upload.

Please don't upload documents containing sensitive information you don't want processed, such as ID numbers, health details or other people's data.

Contact form

If you write to us, your name, email and message are delivered to us through Web3Forms. We use them only to reply, based on our legitimate interest in answering you, and delete them within 12 months unless an ongoing conversation needs them.

Analytics (only with your consent)

If you click "Sure", we load Google Analytics to count visits and a short list of actions, such as "started from a CV", "reached a chart" or "exported a video", with only fixed labels like the export type and format. IP addresses are anonymised, advertising features are off, and no CV content, names, chapter titles, captions or other text you type are ever sent. Nothing is counted before you choose. GA sets cookies (_ga) only after you say "Sure"; if you later say "No thanks" in Cookie settings, we remove them. We ask again after 12 months. Links in images, videos, carousels and posts you export carry a short tag (for example ?ref=video) so we can count visits by export type; it identifies the kind of export, not you. Data is kept for up to 14 months. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings. We honour Global Privacy Control signals as a "no".

Technical data

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and basic request data to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use this to identify you.

Who else handles data

• Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting, security and AI processing.
• Google LLC: analytics, only with your consent.
• Web3Forms: contact form delivery.

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Transfers are covered by their data protection terms, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU and UK GDPR, Singapore's PDPA, or California's CCPA/CPRA), you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict processing, receive a copy of it, or withdraw consent. Because sketches stay on your device, you control most of your data directly. For anything we hold, such as contact form messages, use the contact form and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Children

CareerSketch is not intended for anyone under 16.

Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). We keep no server-side copy of your CV or sketch, which keeps the risk low.

About the AI suggestions

Timelines, pathways and posts are generated by AI and can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before you use or publish them. They are ideas to think about, not professional career, legal or financial advice. You are responsible for what you choose to share.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
